Folitin Application
How fast can I start seeing results with Folitin?
+
How quickly you’ll see results with Folitin depends on factors like your lifestyle, overall health, and the cause of your hair loss.
Some people notice improvements as early as three weeks, but most see results within 3 to 6 weeks of starting the product.
Keep in mind, the healthier your body and the lower your inflammation levels, the better your results are likely to be.
What is the best way to apply Folitin for maximum results?
+
Apply 2-3 drops of Folitin to a clean, dry scalp, and gently massage it in for about 30 seconds.
The key is to focus on the scalp, not just the hair. While some product will naturally get on your hair, make sure you’re working it into the skin where it can do its best work.
For deeper absorption, you can pair Folitin with techniques like dermarolling or microneedling, though these aren’t required.
Remember, a little goes a long way—Folitin is highly concentrated, so you only need a small amount for effective results.
If you have longer hair, you may need slightly more to ensure the product reaches your scalp. Make sure you’re applying it to the scalp itself, not just the hair strands.
How long will a bottle of Folitin last?
+
Most customers report a bottle lasting them anywhere from 30-90 days. It wholly depends on your area of coverage, amount of hair still in place, and frequency of application.
How long after I apply Folitin should I wait before taking a shower and washing my hair?
+
We recommend applying Folitin post shower in the morning or the evening to allow for maximum absorption in the scalp.
If you are going to shower post application, we recommend a minimum of 3 hours for Folitin to be absorbed into the scalp.
Will my scalp and hair be greasy or messy after application?
+
If the application directions are followed closely, there should be no excessive residue or greasiness.
A light layer of Folitin will be readily absorbed by the skin when gently massaged into the target area. Any excess residue or greasiness is a result of over-application.
After applying, is it recommended to avoid sun exposure for a period of time?
+
Because Folitin does not generate any sunlight sensitivity, sun exposure is not a concern.
What is the ideal maintenance routine for using Folitin, once the desired results are achieved?
+
A general maintenance routine would be to apply Folitin 1-3 times per week to the area of concern.
Is this product something that has to be used for the rest of your life?
+
Once you achieve an initial result you are happy with, we recommend a maintenance schedule ranging from a once-a-week application to using Folitin every other day.
You can also stop using Folitin altogether, as your regrowth will not “disappear” when you discontinue the product. If you ever notice thinning or shedding again, simply use Folitin again as needed.
Living a low inflammation, optimized lifestyle, will greatly contribute to positive hair regrowth when using Folitin.
Folitin & Your Health
Does Folitin Cause Any Side Effects?
+
Folitin works naturally with your body without affecting hormones or interfering with important systems.
Since it supports your body’s own processes, it doesn’t cause side effects.
Your overall health plays a big role in how effective Folitin will be, so keeping your body healthy can help you get the best results
Are there any types of people Folitin will not work well for?
+
Hair loss is a multi-factor condition which also includes systemic health factors such as lifestyle, stress and systemic inflammation.
The more optimized someone's lifestyle and cellular health, the more effective Folitin will be at producing noticeable results.
Not every product works for every person. It is very likely there will be individuals who do not respond to Folitin.
Is this product safe for chemically sensitive individuals?
+
The Folitin formulation is generally safe for chemically sensitive individuals, but every person is biochemically unique. Folitin does not use harsh chemicals or hormone-altering compounds.
Is Folitin safe if I have an autoimmune condition?
+
If you have or suspect an underlying autoimmune condition, we recommend you work with your healthcare provider to determine if Folitin is appropriate for you. Autoimmune conditions can be very complex and in some cases can be exacerbated by growth factors when applied topically. While skin reactions are uncommon, we recommend spot testing a small area first, especially if someone is currently experiencing autoimmune related issues.
Other Folitin Questions
Are the hair regrowth results with Folitin permanent?
+
The effects of Folitin may not disappear or reverse upon halting treatment. Depending on the root cause of an individual's hair loss, their overall health and lifestyle, a maintenance schedule may be beneficial in maintaining long-term results.
Many hair loss solutions only treat the underlying symptoms. Once treatment is ceased, the benefits disappear rapidly. Even when the use of Folitin is halted, the cumulative regenerative effects that occurred during the treatment cycle will remain. But depending on the cause of a person’s hair loss, a prudent strategy would be to use Folitin from a maintenance level when there is a noticeable sign of increased hair loss due to age, genetics or excess thinning/shedding.
Can Folitin be used for beards?
+
We offer specific beard products to assist with regrowth on the face as well.
Check out Folitin Beard Elixir and Folitin Beard Renew! We recommend using the application instructions and timing for the beard products that are outlined for using Folitin.
Typically, hair loss (in men) is the direct result of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) attaching itself to the DHT receptor at the follicle. This in turn stunts the life, growth, and cycle of the follicle until it is miniaturized and then falls dormant. How does Folitin interrupt this process, assuming it’s not a DHT blocker?
+
Hair loss related to DHT happens because the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme converts testosterone into DHT.
However, 5-alpha-reductase is involved in more than just DHT production, and hormones are only one of several factors that contribute to hair loss in both men and women.
Folitin targets multiple causes of hair loss, working to reduce thinning and promote regrowth directly at the hair follicle.

I have been using Minoxidil, and I am going to start treatment with Folitin. I am afraid of losing hair upon discontinuing the use of Minoxidil. Is there anything that you would recommend in this transition?
+
This is a great question. We recommend Folitin application in the AM while continuing your Minoxidil protocol in the evening.
It is important that the Folitin does not compete against the Minoxidil for topical absorption into the scalp.
After 1 to 2 weeks of Folitin use in the morning, you can withdraw from your Minoxidil protocol for good, as your scalp will now be in a much better state of health from using Folitin.
Is the Folitin product indicated for female hair loss (genetic pattern baldness) and/or the all-over "hair fall" type loss (telogen effluvium) that some women experience for hormonal reasons?
+
Yes, Folitin can help with all types of hair loss including what is observed in peri- and post-menopausal women.
Our unique blend of peptides works in several ways to improve the health of your hair follicles. It helps boost blood flow to the scalp and protects your hair with powerful antioxidants.
This creates a healthier foundation for maintaining your current hair and can even encourage new hair to grow.
It’s important to note that your body’s overall inflammation levels can significantly affect your results with Folitin. The lower your inflammation, the better your chances of seeing great results.
Will Folitin work better with DMSO? I have used DMSO for transdermal transport before and was wondering if it would also help in the transport of Folitin?
+
DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) is an interesting delivery system. It can improve the transport and absorption of topical products.
In theory, it would help with allowing Folitin's active ingredients to penetrate the dermis of the scalp.
Due to some people being highly sensitive to DMSO, we recommend applying Folitin only as demonstrated on our website and in our videos.

What order should I apply the skincare products?
+
For the best results, apply your Luminose products in this order:
1) Daily Firming Serum: Start with this lightweight all-over formula to target fine lines and improve skin elasticity. Apply to the face, neck, and decolletage, gently massage into the skin, and allow to dry for approximately 30 seconds before moving on to the next step.
2) Line Lifting Serum: Use this concentrated, targeted formula next to help smooth expression lines and reduce puffiness. Apply to problem areas (around the eyes, for example) and very gently tap or massage until completely absorbed. Allow to dry for approximately 30 seconds before moving on to the next step.
3) Daily Hydrating Cream: Follow up with the hydrating cream to lock in moisture and enhance your skin's natural glow.
What is the best way to use the Satin Touch Dry Body Oil?
+
Satin Touch Dry Body Oil is a versatile product designed to hydrate and nourish your skin, but its benefits go beyond being a full-body moisturizer:
- Body Moisturizer: Use it daily for silky, soft skin. The lightweight, non-greasy formula absorbs quickly, leaving your skin smooth and radiant. For best results, apply immediately after showering while the skin is still damp.
- Weekly Deep Conditioning Treatment: Saturate the roots of your hair, then wrap hair in a towel, allowing the oil to sit for at least 15-20 minutes. Shampoo out, and style as desired. This treatment combats dryness, soothes irritation, and improves overall scalp health. It also nourishes hair strands, leaving them softer and shinier.
- Daily Treatment for Dry Hair: Dispense a coin-sized amount into the palm. Rub your hands together, then run your hands over and through your hair to tame dry, frizzy, fly-away hair and provide a sleek shine that lasts all day.
- Cuticle Oil: Satin Touch is perfect for keeping your nails and cuticles in top condition. Massage a drop into your cuticles daily to help heal dryness, prevent hangnails, and maintain strong, healthy nails.

Other Luminose Skincare questions
Why is it blue, and will it stain my skin?
+
The blue color comes from the GHK-Cu peptide, which is naturally blue due to its copper content. Rest assured, it won’t stain your skin or leave any residue on clothes or other fabrics if you have massaged the product in thoroughly. Once applied, the products absorb fully, leaving your skin looking fresh and vibrant.
What are peptides, and why are they so important in skincare?
+
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as building blocks for proteins like collagen and elastin, which are essential for firm, healthy skin. Over time, our natural production of these proteins slows down, leading to wrinkles, sagging, and loss of elasticity. Peptides in skincare products help signal your skin to produce more collagen and elastin, promoting a smoother, more youthful appearance. This is why peptides are such a big deal in modern skincare—they target the root causes of aging, not just the symptoms.
Which products contain GHK-Cu?
+
Both the Daily Firming Serum and the Daily Hydrating Cream contain GHK-Cu, also known as Copper Tripeptide-1. This powerful peptide helps boost collagen production, enhance skin elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
